Dr. Hanns Zeltinger, a native German, is the Managing Director of a management and IT consulting company z‐consult pte ltd, based in Singapore. With over 25 years of management and consulting experience in different management and consultancy positions in four continents, he primarily focuses in facilitating and providing solutions that assist companies in optimizing the supply chains locally and internationally and thereby maximizing profitability. Dr.Zeltinger’s academic credentials lie in Mathematics, Business Administration and Computer Technology. Completed with a PhD in Mathematics at the University of Bonn, Germany, these have given him a sound basis for providing professional services. He has vast experience in a wide variety of industries, mainly in manufacturing, example, Chemical Pharmaceutical, Automotive, High Technology.In addition, he also has equal knowledge in the financial and IT services sectors. He is well‐versed in intercultural business practices and communications in Asia Pacific countries, with over 15 years of experience and success in project management in most Asian countries.
Dr. Hanns Zeltinger has gained a lot of knowledge and deep insights in strategic and operational issues of huge multinationals as well as medium sized companies through his various positions during his last 15 years in Asia. He has held various management positions as CEO, MD, CIO, Program Director and department heads for companies in different industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, telecommunication, financial services and IT services.
Some of the examples include being the founder, CEO and Director of Asian IT & consulting affiliates for T‐Systems, DaimlerChrysler, Hoechst AG now running under the name of Sanofi‐Aventis in countries like China, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines. His experiences for holding different CIO positions for Hoechst, debis IT Systems (the IT affiliate of DaimlerChrysler) and Daimler Financial Services on country level as well as on for Asia and Asia‐Middle‐East‐Africa regions brought him the perception that improvement in supply chains heavily interacts with progress and deployment of IT solutions. Besides high level business strategies, he also realized that organizations can improve their supply chain operations widely through intense and trustful collaboration with partners, by restructuring their business processes in combination with organizational and technological development. In his consulting practices during the last 7 years, Dr. Hanns Zeltinger was the Asian Sales Director and Partner of a German based Supply Chain specialist consulting firm and currently as Managing Director of z‐consult.
Various projects conducted in all relevant Asian countries has given him the clear picture that transformation of successful practices in one industry can become an advantage in another different industry as well. Dr. Zeltinger gained broad experiences in developing and implementing concepts for Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, Procurement, Lean Management and IT as well as multi‐project management from strategy development to conceptualization to implementation. Clients he has represented across the globe include former Hoechst AG and some of its spin offs in Asia, Daimler‐Chrysler, Bayer, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sapura, Amorepacific and others. Most recent was a corporate initiative at Mahindra & Mahindra – An Indian conglomerate – to harmonize their procurement processes across its diversified group members and the conceptualization and implementation of a Shared Services Organization for an utility company in Malaysia.
Strong relationships with SAP over 20 years in definition of requirements for new SAP modules PP‐PI (Production Planning in Process Industry) and EHS (environmental Health & Safety), in implementation a lot of SAP systems in various industries from management as well a consulting point of view and in building up a worldwide SAP Customer Competence Center (CCC), honored by SAP as the best CCC of the year. In addition he has been giving lectures at GIST‐TUM Asia on Industrial Logistics, SCM and Production Planning. See other Team Members.
